Setting up a Collective Impact Board

I’m getting in touch to let you know that the Ministry of Social Development is working with the community to set up a Collective Impact Board which will give advice on support services for affected whānau.

As you may already know, the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCOI) into the Christchurch terrorist attack made recommendations for ongoing recovery support, including the Collective Impact Board.

The Collective Impact Board will consist of community members and agencies.

We invite affected whānau to make nominations

We are seeking nominations for community representatives on the Collective Impact Board.

As a member of the affected whānau, you are invited to make nominations. This invitation has been sent to affected whānau. Please let us know if you think we have missed anyone out.

How to make a nomination

Nominations can be made from 15 March 2021 until 5pm on 29 March 2021. Late nominations will not be considered.

There are two options to nominate community representative candidates:

  • Affected whānau may nominate themselves to represent their community fairly and effectively. To do this, fill in the green Self-Nomination Form - Community Representative - Collective Impact Board.
  • Affected whānau may nominate someone else from the affected community to represent them and their community fairly and effectively. To do this, fill in the blue Nomination Form - Community Representative - Collective Impact Board.

To be a community representative on the Collective Impact Board, you need to be over 18 years old.

People may nominate themselves for the role of Board Chair

You may also nominate yourself for the role of Board Chair. You may not nominate another person. This is a role for someone with governance and leadership skills. To do this, fill in the purple Self-Nomination Form - Board Chair - Collective Impact Board.

Send the completed form(s) and supporting documents to collectiveimpactboardnominations@msd.govt.nz.
